about

European edition
Limited to 200 copies in 4 panel Digipack

Concept album geared towards various burial rituals around the world.

Hailing from Northwest Ohio, Black Shroud are bringing destructive blackened death metal with their debut full-length “Death Culture”. Being active since 2016, the quartet describes themselves as “a blue-collar American rogue black metal”.

The Black metal side stands only on the surface? Well, under the visible at first glance, comes the cavernous and suffocating death metal sound and superb riffs. This asphyxia easily overtakes the mix along with the low guttural vocals.

The five tracks are heavy, intense, and when the devastating blast beats breakdown, a tiny death/doom pattern of distorted filthy riffs and tech drumming crawls in.

These 28 minutes represent another confident lesson in the death (metal) underground culture. No remorse, just pure pleasure going under the crushing heaviness of the music and its variety. And the feeling of fatality without any escape from this nightmare.

Originally self-released in 2017, “Death Culture” now is brought proudly to underground maniacs by War Productions, just to shroud in black the summer days of 2019.
